The fundamental challenge in this project was to overcome the central paradigm of conventional production: How do you design, engineer and produce a mechanically moving product, that doesn‘t require assembly anymore?

ALL IN is produced on one machine, in one go and from one material weighing in at just 364 grams. Its construction reduces components from over 100 to less than 10. Only the LED and its electronic components need to be mounted seperately.

ALL IN demonstrates how we could:

• use the geometric freedom and characteristics of AM materials to design constructive solutions that facilitate recycling and reduce the amount of components

• use the infrastructures of AM to reduce logistic complexity of production, avoid long transportation routes of global commodity flows and even eliminate certain assembly steps at the same time
